  • My username and password do not seem to work. How do I know I am using the correct ones?
    The username and password that you enter into the software MUST BE the username and password that you receive when you download the accelerator software. This is the username and password provided by Eohio. It will be your e-mail address without the "@eohio.net" part unless notified differently by eohio.

  • I have computers networked can I use E-Z Blaster Web Accelerator?
    Yes E-Z Blaster will work but you will need a subscription to E-Z Blaster for each computer on the network. The software is a subscription based product and is charged based on number of users and not phone lines like a dial-up account. Contact us for pricing on multiple computers.

  • What system requirements are necessary to use E-Z Blaster Web Accelerator?
    The minimum recommended system requirements for the E-Z Blaster Web Accelerator are a Pentium 200MHz with 64MB of RAM and at least 5 MB of hard-disk space.

  • Does E-Z Blaster Web Accelerator speed-up email?
    This version of E-Z Blaster 3.0 does speed-up email.

  • I downloaded the E-Z Blaster Web Accelerator installer but now I can't find it on my computer. Where is it?
    Use the Windows Find tool located in the Start Menu to search for the file "e-zinstaller" (without quotes)
    If you still can't find it, download it again and make sure that you save the file to your Desktop.

  • I'm having difficulty installing the E-Z Blaster Web Accelerator. Where can I get additional assistance?
    Please read the FAQ list here and the E-Z Baster FAQ or send email to help@eohio.net and we will respond to your questions within 48 hours.

  • How do I start the E-Z Blaster Web Accelerator?
    The E-Z Blaster Web Accelerator is launched automatically every time windows starts. You do not have to launch it manually.
    An E-Z Blaster Web Accelerator icon appears in the Windows system tray to show that it is operating in the background.


  • How can I tell if E-Z Blaster Web Accelerator is working and if so how good?
    Hold your mouse over the E-Z Blaster Web Accelerator taskbar icon and you will see the savings. To see the totals right click on the E-Z Blaster Web Accelerator taskbar icon and click on [Statistics...] and get the totals and details of the original, actual and the savings ratio.

  • Will E-Z Blaster speed up my file downloads?
    E-Z Blaster Web Accelerator is intended to speed up web surfing. Your file download speeds may be slightly increased but not significantly like the surfing speed is increased.

  • Will E-Z Blaster help with pop-ups?
    E-Z Blaster Web Accelerator comes with a pop-up blocker included. Right click on the E-Z Blaster Web Accelerator taskbar icon and click on [Pop-Up Blocker...] and you can enable or disable the blocker. Web sites can be added to the [White List] to allow pop-ups from certain sites while still blocking others.

  • How do I change the image quality setting for a particular image?
    Right-click on the image and select [Show Original Image].

  • How do I change the image quality setting for all images on this web page?
    Right-click on an image and select [Show All Original Images].

  • How do I change the image quality setting for all images on all web pages?
    Right-click on the E-Z Blaster Web Accelerator taskbar icon and select [Settings]. Select the [Image Quality] tab. Adjust the slider bar to the desired image quality setting. Press OK to save the changes


  • Can I have E-Z Blaster not work on a particular web site?
    You can right click on the E-Z Blaster Web Accelerator taskbar icon and click on [Stop E-Z Blaster] and turn the web accelerator off.


  • Can I have E-Z Blaster not work on a particular web site all time without turning it off every time?
    You can right click on the E-Z Blaster Web Accelerator taskbar icon and click on [Settings...] and click on the tab [Proxy Exclusion], be sure there is a dot in Specify a proxy exclusion list. Then type the web site address in the box, if more than one seperate the addresses with a semicolon [ ; ].

  • Can I use my E-Z Blaster Web Accelerator with Netscape Navigator?
    Yes.

  • Can I use my E-Z Blaster Web Accelerator with other browsers such as Opera or Mozilla?
    Yes. E-Z Blaster Web Accelerator works with any web browser that allows you to specify an HTTP proxy. You must set the HTTP proxy host to be "localhost" and the port number to be "5500" (without quotes). Consult your browser's documentation for information on how this can be done.

  • Does E-Z Blaster work with AOL?
    Not if you use the AOL version 8 or higher browser. If you minimize the AOL browser and start up IE, you will see an improvement in your speed.

  • Does E-Z Blaster Web Accelerator speed-up my secure (HTTPS) transactions such as my web-banking?
    The E-Z Blaster Web Accelerator does not accelerate secure transactions. Secure websites will continue to work by bypassing the acceleration component.

  • What platforms can E-Z Blaster Web Accelerator be installed on? 
    E-Z Blaster Web Accelerator can be installed on any of the 
following operating systems:


Windows 98SE 
Windows Millennium Edition (Windows ME) 
Windows NT 4.0 
Windows 2000 
Windows XP  
Windows Vista
MAC (Version available Ask)
E-Z Blaster Web Accelerator works best with Internet Explorer 4.0 and 
Netscape 4.0 or any later version of either browser (Internet 
Explorer 5.0 is recommended).

Newer versions of Microsoft Internet Explorer are available for 
free through Microsoft. 

Note for Windows 95 users: Currently, Microsoft does not permit 
Windows 95 users to install Internet Explorer 6 or greater, 
however Internet Explorer 5.5 is available
